    How long is the program?

Road2Teach’s certification pathways include two stages: online coursework and a 12-week internship (“student teaching”). Coursework is 100% virtual and self-paced, so you can progress at your own speed. We expect the majority of students will complete the program in 12 months, but there is no “right” length; it depends on you.

    Who are the faculty?

Our program was developed and is taught by a close-knit team of Ed.Ds (doctors of education), who have extensive expertise designing and teaching graduate-level education curricula. This academic acumen is coupled with real-world experience; our faculty have worked in every role imaginable within the education system, from teacher to principal to superintendent and even dean. Along the way, Road2Teach instructors have never forgotten how it felt to stand where you stand, and they’re thrilled to help guide you through your educational journey.

Can I participate in Road2Teach while working full-time?

Yes! ATC is intended for those taking “non-traditional” paths to education, whether through a career change or returning to the workforce after starting a family. Even among ATC options, the virtual, self-paced, and personalized nature of Road2Teach makes it particularly suited for balance with life obligations.

    How demanding is the coursework?

Road2Teach courses are meticulously structured to provide the same level of preparedness as traditional teacher certification programs. With a firm foundation in research and theory, the program is rigorous, with frequent assessments including written assignments. However, the support that students receive—from faculty, career placement advisors, virtual group events, and a close peer network—is unparalleled. And of course, the self-paced nature means that you can always take your time.
